Movie poster analysis.

1. I think the film is about a policeman who fights crime and I think the story is set in the future because there's a flying car and the buildings look futuristic. The reason why I think the man is a cop is because in the poster the car looks like a police car and the man is holding a gun so they seem to correlate perfectly, I think the woman is his partner because they are put together.

2. I think the genre this film belongs to is action, sci-fi. The reason why I think the film belongs to those genres is because that's a flying car and it looks futuristic so it has to be sci-fi, I think the movie is a action film because the man is holding a gun and that pretty much explains action.

3. I think the target audience is 18+ because the film looks like it contains a lot of violence I think this because the man is sweating and he is holding the gun which makes me think that he is in a fight with criminals or someone else and he appears to be hiding.

1. I think the storyline is about a group of teens that encounter supernatural beings and monsters and they have to escape. The reason I think this is because the 3 people in the front and the guy at the back on the right look like they know each other and could be the main characters and the 2 people at the back on the middle look like sub-characters that don't get much screen time but they are the ones that haunt the main characters because of how they look and the priest on the left just looks like he performs a exorcism and doesn't do much else.

2. I think this film belongs to comedy and horror because the name is "scary movie" which looks like it is said in a sarcastic tone. There is a dark hallway in the back which suggests there are monsters and supernatural beings in the movie and to further prove that the film belongs to comedy is the movie review at the top of the movie poster which says "absolutely hilarious" that shows that someone found the movie funny.

3.I think the target audience would be 18+ because it seems to be adult humour mainly because the girl has a t-shirt that says "I love dead people" which most likely refers to necrophilia and is obviously not suitable for kids to understand and see.

1.I think the film is about a dystopian world which may be set in the future and I think this because of the dark colours and the dark grey sky. The man looks cold and I think this because his shoulders look hunched and he is wearing a long coat.

2.I think the film belongs to drama or mystery. This is because the reviews show that the film is "a joy" and "a real masterpiece" which correlates with reviews of drama or mystery.

3.I think the target audience would be 16+ because if there doesn't appear to be any violence or nudity in the movie then it would be suitable for a slightly younger audience.

1.I think the film is about a boy who goes down a hole and gets lost. This is because the boy in the movie poster seems to look intrigued by the hole as if he is going to enter it.

2.I think the film belongs to thriller, drama or horror. This is because the of the name of the movie "I'm not scared" which shows that the boy is saying to to reassure himself that he isn't scared when he really is but it could be drama because "I'm not scared" could be a metaphor and it shows how he is struggling to grow up and be a adult.

3.I think the target audience is 16+ because some 16 year olds like to watch drama films and this movie doesn't seem to be violent or anything nsfw.

1.I think the movie is about a group of killers and it is set in a future dystopian world I think this because of the dark colours and how they are all holding weapons and dark clothes.

2.I think the genre of the film belongs to thriller or mystery. This is because there is most likely violence in the film because of the guns and the title of the movie is written in red to indicate blood.

3. I think the target audience would be 18+ because of the reasons in #2 and also because the girl on the left who looks like she if half-naked which would not be suitable for kids.

1. I think the film is about pirates and it would be set in the 1600-1700's because of how old the ships look in the picture and because pirates lasted from 1500-1800's. The main character is a pirate and the others look like they are part of the government but they all know each other.

2. I think the film belongs to thriller because of the name of the movie: pirates of the caribbean dead mans chest" which shows that the movie contains some violence and maybe some blood.

3.I think the target audience would be 16+ because the movie contains violence and the man on the left has a gun also pirates are known to be ruthless which would not be suitable for children to watch.

1. I think the movie is about a couple who get married in india or singapore and their parents support their decisions because they seem to be laughing in the background and having fun.

2.I think the genre belongs to romance, comedy and drama. This is because of the movie review that says it is funny and romantic.

3. I think the target audience would be 18+ because the movie review says that it is "so sexy" which is not suitable for kids and may contain nudity.

1. I think the film is about a boxer who gets trained by a forgotten boxer or coach. This is because the man on the right seems to be her coach or her friend and it looks like he trains her for a fight that is worth millions because of the title "million dollar baby" which shows there is a lot of money involved.

2: I think the genre belongs to thriller. This is because if the movie is about a boxer then there will be blood involved and most likely some deaths because of how everyone wants to bet on the winning fighter and make sure they win the bet. I also think the movie is thriller because of the dark colours which resemble death.

3: I think the target audience would be for 18+ people because blood is supposed to be only shown for adults and if there are deaths then it would be understandable for it to be only shown to adults and not kids.

Keywords: Costume Lighting Actor (placement and movement) Make-up Props Setting Kingsman: The costume the people are wearing are all old style christian texas clothing except for the main actor with the gun who is wearing a suit. The lighting is ambient and uses natural light instead of artificial light that is usually a whiter colour. The actor is in front of the woman with a gun in his hand and pointing it at her face, the people in the back are intimidated and some are scared, they all look like they are going to attack the man in the suit (you can tell by their facial expression). Key terminology for editing: Transitions Continuity editing Montage Pace Juxtaposition Continuity editing Most editing of narrative film is continuity editing.  This is when shots are placed logically so that one event follows on from the next.  We, as the audience, automatically try to make sense of one shot joining the next one.  For example, if we see an exterior shot of a school and the following shot is a classroom, we assume that the classroom is inside the school building we saw in the previous shot.   Transitions A straight cut is the most common method and the audience are so accustomed to seeing these that we rarely notice them when they occur. A fade out – the screen fades to black. A dissolve - one image blurs into the next. A wipe – one part of the screen wipes across the other. Learner respone: From Mr Halsey Moa: No SRS: No 180 °: Yes Nice opening shot with smooth camera movement-often a rare sight in student productions. Continuity editing/match-on-action just isn't there. The flick to black screen ruins any sense of continuity I don't like the huge text on screen-you should be able to tell a simple story without resorting to this. At one point,continuity is completely wrong-0:33, the edit seems like match-on-action but the character changes no dialogue, no shot-reverse-shot I'm afraid this doesn't meet the brief at all As stated by Mr Halsey, i didn't meet the brief, however, this is because I had less information and I didn't know how the planning went for the clips that I used in my video that I edited.
